About our featured author

Arden Powell is a speculative-fiction author and illustrator from the Canadian East Coast. They graduated from St. Francis Xavier University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Honouring in English Literature. A hybrid author, their first novel, A Summer Soundtrack for Falling in Love, was published in 2018 by Riptide Publishing. In 2020 they self-published The Faerie Hounds of York, followed by The Bayou and The Bachelor’s Valet in 2021.

When not writing, they can be found drawing, walking the dog, or tending to their exorbitant number of houseplants. They write across multiple sub-genres and everything they write is queer.
